Rule of Law and Disciplined Military Operations

Objective:
To provide the student with instruction on the rule of law, its impact on human
rights and how these considerations fit into planning and conducting military operations.
Length/Scope:
This one-week course includes considerations of such fundamental concerns as rules
of engagement, laws of armed conflicts and the role of a military justice system
in accomplishing military objectives.
Special Information:
This course is designed for junior officers and enlisted personnel. This instruction
qualifies as an expanded IMET (E-IMET) training and it is taught by JAG officers
from the Defense Institute of International Legal Studies (DIILS).
