  Combat lifesaver Course

Objective:

To provide selected non-medical students specialized unclassified training in advanced lifesaving skills and measures.

Length/Scope:

Two-week course is designed to provide the student with advanced lifesaving skills to include hemorrhage control, maintaining casualty airway, managing penetrating chest injuries and shock casualties, treating heat and burn casualties, the application of splinting techniques, the assessment and evacuation of casualties. Training will be accomplished through a combination of classroom and practical application exercises.

Special Information:

This course is designed for junior officers and enlisted personnel to support their primary combat mission. NAVSCIATTS will not issue any uniforms for this course.
